Leta C. Shea, 90,
of Hornell
went to be with the Lord on Thursday (Jan. 4, 203).
She was born on June 9, 1922 to Edgar C. and Jesse M. Crandall of Shinglehouse, PA. She married Judson M. Shea on Feb. 9, 1944.
She was a long time member of the former East Avenue Methodist Church in Hornell where she taught Sunday School, played the piano and organ and rang the chimes daily. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Hornell until her passing, where she played the piano for duets and solos.
Leta was predeceased by her parents Edgar C. and Jesse M. Crandall, her husband, Judson M. Shea and brothers, Donald and Wayne Deremer.
Survivors include her sister, Cecilia Gross of Swain; her three children, David J. Shea of Warner Robins, GA, Judilee Shea of Saint Louis, MO and Judson E. Shea and daughter-in-law, Pam Shea of Aliquippa, PA; her grandson, Judson D. Shea of Waynesboro, PA and several nieces and nephews.
There will be an hour of calling from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church of Hornell, where a funeral and committal service will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday. Interment will be in Rural Cemetery, Hornell, next to her husband, Judson M. Shea.
