ARKPORT, NY - Assemblymen Phil Palmesano (R, Corning) and Bill Nojay (R, Pittsford) recently welcomed Evelyn Piatt of Arkport Central School to the Assembly for a look at the state assembly.

Miss Piatt, who is from the 133rd Assembly District which is represented by Mr. Nojay, joined Palmesano for the entire day.

Palmesano says that Evelyn attended numerous meetings he had with individuals, groups and organizations from throughout his district and state to discuss many of the pressing issues facing state leaders. She also joined the Assemblymen on the floor to see the floor proceedings and witness several legislative debates, including the Assembly’s Minimum Wage legislation.

“It was great to have Evelyn with us for the day,” said Nojay and Palmesano in a joint statement. “We hope she enjoyed her experience and was able to take away some valuable insight about what a day in Albany can be like for a member of the New York State Assembly.”
