Congressman Tom Reed: Don't Stop the White House Tours Just Because of Hard Times
March 7, 2013
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Congressman Tom Reed (R, Corning) reports that he has sent a letter to the White House, telling President Barack Obama that he should not permit White House tours to be suspended, just because of the economy.
The Corning Republican made note of what he believes to be a double standard. "It has been reported that access to the White House can be gained for a political donation of $500,000, according to the New York Times," Reed stated in his letter.
