Class of 71 HHS Grad Doing Matching Donation Pledge For Hornell YMCA

January 18, 2013

HORNELL, NY - Hornell native/actor Bill Pullman has pledged to donate up to $100,000, if the community donates that much, as a matching-challenge for the Hornell YMCA.

YMCA officials says that Pullman is doing a dollar-for-dollar match, so for every amount pledged by area residents and others, Bill Pullman will match that amount (up to $100,000).

"Mr. Pullman's generosity has made a lot possible for us," said Rebecca Weaver Hamm, music and arts director at the YMCA in Hornell. "We are all very excited for this opportunity."

People do not have to finalize their donations now, they just have to make a pledge.
