Canisteo, NY -- Canisteo-Greenwood school teacher/administrator Paul Cone had some good news for the Board of Education Monday evening at their monthly meeting.  Cone explained, " The number of students failing classes after the first marking period has dropped significantly." He went on to break the numbers down:

8th Grade down 29%
9th Grade down 70%
10th Grade down 20%
11th Grade down 56%

He concluded by stating, " Overall sixty two percent fewer students are failing classes the first marking period this year compared to last year. This is in part due to Mr. Reynolds the Intervention Coordinator and the high school teachers."
