Taxes Going Down by 1.925% for Next Fiscal Year

Hartsville, NY -- The Hartsville town board met Wednesday evening and approved a budget for 2013 that will see a tax decrease of 1.925%. Also approved was the ability to override the 2% Real Property Tax Cap Levy. Town supervisor Mike Muhleisen explained that they do not foresee the need to exceed the cap, but have been advised by NYS officials to implement it as a precautionary measure.
