Pennsylvania Prison Escapee Captured in New York
Troopers also arrested an Elmira man
New York State Police have captured an escapee from Pennsylvania's Tioga County Prison.
Troopers in Wayland say they located a vehicle on I-390 that was earlier reported stolen by Jeffrey Blair, 22, an escapee who reportedly walked away from a work detail near the prison. The vehicle was stopped after it pulled into a gas station in the Village of Dansville.
Police say Blair was apprehended inside the stolen vehicle and the operator of the vehicle, Britian Loyd, 19, from Elmira, was apprehended inside the gas station.
Blair was charged with being a Fugitive from Justice, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, as alleged crack cocaine was located inside the vehicle.
Loyd was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance and operating a vehicle without a license.
Both Blair and Loyd were arraigned and remanded to Livingston County Jail.
