Sheriff York: Livingston County Jogger Hit By Car That Was Passing A School Bus

Jogger Survives, And Was Taken To Strong

YORK, NY - Livingston County Sheriff John York reports that a York man is accused of passing a school bus on double solid lines, and accidentally striking a jogger in the process. According to Sheriff York, Patrick Schlaefer of the Livingston County Town of York is accused of hitting a jogger, Julie Smith, of the Town of York. Julie Smith was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening shoulder injuries.

 

Schlaefer was issued several vehicle and traffic citations.
