Update on Ontario County Fatal Car Crash

Victim identified as a man from Victor
The Ontario County Sheriff's Office has now released the name of the victim of a fatal car crash that happened late Monday afternoon in Ontario County.
The Monroe County Medical Examiner's Office has positively identified the victim as John Nugent, 54, of Victor.
He died as a result of multiple traumatic injuries to his head and chest.
Officials say their investigation has determined that Nuget was traveling at a high rate of speed, but it has not yet been determined what caused him to lose control of his vehicle, which left the roadway, struck several mailboxes and a tree, then burst into flames.
