Another Marijuana Growing Operation Busted
This one in the Town of Dansville
A Dansville resident faces charges of unlawful growing of marijuana.
Steuben County Sheriff's deputies say they approached a residence on Jacob Road in the Town of Dansville that had been under observation for the past week, and information was developed in regards to a marijuana growing operation. The tenant of the property was then approached by sheriff's deputies and a consent to search the residence and surrounding property was obtained by investigators.
Deputies say a search of the property revealed the growing of 13 marijuana plants in a hollowed-out wooded portion of the property. A search inside the home also revealed a marijuana drying room that contained equipment used for the processing of marijuana.
Deputies then arrested Jason Gradwick, 36, on a charge of Growing of the Plant Known as Cannabis without a License. He was issued an appearance ticket.
Anyone with information related to the unlawful growing of marijuana is asked to contact Sr. Investigator Eric Tyner at the Sheriff's office at (607) 776-7009. Anonymous reports may also be made through the Sheriff's Office website www.steubencony.org/Sheriff. All information will be kept confidential.
