Fatal Crash in Cattaraugus County

One dead, one injured

One person is dead following a two vehicle crash in Cattaraugus County.

Amity-based State Police say Linda Baker failed to stop at a stop sign on State Route 240 in the Town of Ashford, and collided with a vehicle operated by Christopher Schmitz. No hometowns or ages given.

Police say Schmitz was taken to the hospital where he later died from internal injuries.

Baker was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
