Steuben County Drug Arrests
ONE IN N.Y.C. ONE IN BATH
The Steuben County Sheriff's Department reports that a man who was wanted on a warrant for alleged drug charges was arrested in New York City by the New York City Police Department at a bus terminal in Manhattan, and brought back to Bath. The man was wanted on charges of 5th degree possession of a controlled substance and 5th degree sale of a controlled substance, for allegedly selling a controlled substance in 2009 in Steuben County. The man, a 45 year old who was living in Siler City, North Carolina, is being held in Steuben County Jail.
Also, the Steuben County District Attorney's Drug Initative has announced that a Rochester man who was already doing time in Steuben County Jail has been arrested for alleged possession of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree, and alleged sale of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree. It's alleged that the 21 year old former Rochester resident sold crack cocaine in Bath in October. The man was arraigned in Town of Bath Court and then remanded back to Steuben County Jail.
