Mildred A. Bob, 89

of 129 Greenwood Street, Canisteo

Mildred A. Bob, 89, of 129 Greenwood Street, passed away  Thursday (February 4, 2010) at  St. James Mercy Hospital.

Mildred was born in Hornell, on  October 5, 1920, the daughter of the late  Lynn and Margaret  Lewis. She married her husband, Walter Bob, in 1940 and they made their home in the Village of Canisteo since 1949.

Mildred retired from the former Westinghouse Plant in Bath after 27 years of service.  She loved her flower garden and for many years was an avid bingo player.  She enjoyed visiting family in Long Island and swimming in the ocean.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Barbara Jean Wheatcraft.

She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Walter Bob, her sons, Robert (Nancy) Bob of Watkins Glen; and Thomas (Lynn) Bob of Canisteo, eleven grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
