HORNELL GETS OVER HALF A MILLION IN GRANT MONEY TO START UP PROXIMA USA

Hornell will be getting more than $600,000 in grant money from the New York State Office of Community Renewal.  The over half a million dollars will be used in order to help get Proxima USA started up.  Proxima USA is a computer  specialty software company run by Pat Lynch. 

There will initially be about 40 jobs January, 2010.  "They'll be looking to hire those locally with computer programming eduction, IT education and experience, and I think they would be hiring these people...sometime in early 2010," Hornell Mayor Shawn Hogan told our news department.  "It's a great year-end gift to the City of Hornell, and we're very excited about the future," Hogan said.
