Sentenced in a Computer Intrusion Case

Rochester man fined

David George Smith, 47, had been convicted of illegally accessing a company's
computer system, and wrecklessly causing damage to that computer system.
Smith was sentenced to pay a fine of $500 and to pay restitution to the victim
company in the amount of $4,671.
The sentencing is the culmination of an investigation on the part of Special
Agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
