Flanders Wins Unopposed - No Show For Dems In Canisteo

ARKPORT/CANISTEO/NORTH HORNELL, NY - The Arkport and Canisteo GOP village caucus
results are in.  Arkport's Charlie Flanders (R) has been nominated to run for
Mayor.  Flanders is currently unopposed.
Also in Arkport, Village Trustees Susie Thompson (R) and John Hedges (R) were
nominated to run again.  Mrs. Thompson received 20 votes, John Hedges got 24
votes, and Charlie Flanders, who is running for Arkport Mayor, recieved 27
votes.  30 people came in to vote in Arkport.
At the Canisteo GOP caucus, two trustees, Tim Harkenrider (R) and Grant Seaman
(R) were both nominated to run.
Seaman took the unexpired seat of William Tucker (D) who became mayor in April
of last year in Canisteo.
No one showed up for the Democrat Caucus in the Village of Canisteo.
In North Hornell, Republican Glenn Thomas was nominated to run once again as a
village Trustee.
Village elections are March 20th of this year.
